Canastra Feelings marks the launch of the Torstol project with the label Reverse Phase Records.

In this album, Joao Paulo Esk seeks to express a little of his experiences in contact with his homeland during the pandemic times, the Serra da Canastra region, in the center-west of Minas Gerais. Inspired by the landscapes and the history of the place, Canastra Feelings is the sound manifestation of the feeling of appreciating the beautiful but also of feeling the harshness of reality, as the region suffers increasingly from the impacts of the environmental crisis, whether due to the worsening burning, deforestation and exploitation of its resources.

The region is a true paradise, home to beautiful waterfalls and a very rich biodiversity, however, it has been exploited in a predatory way due to the advance of extensive agriculture and livestock, thus being threatened.

The songs, which move between the organic and the technological in a progressive sequence of BPM's, explore melodies and powerful bass lines, built with different textures and dynamics that remind the atmosphere of the Cerrado.

With 4 songs, Canastra Feelings aims to promote dance, highlight the importance of preserving Brazilian biomes, and alerting the fragility of the Cerrado.
